Aquilegia 'Nora Barlow'
Nora Barlow is an exquisite, fully double variety with frilly picotee petticoats. It flowers for us here through late spring and into summer, looking particularly lovely paired with late flowering tulips.
Sow under cover from early spring onwards, preferably on a heat mat with a propagator lid. Do not cover the seed with compost. As soon as you see germination remove the lid and make sure it's the seed tray has lots of light.Can also be sown under cover in autumn and planted out the following spring after the last frost.
Aquilegia like fluctuating temperatures in order to germinate. Pop the seed tray outside for a few nights then bring back in to the greenhouse to aid germination.
