Sow in pots during Autumn for the most vigorous plants. Overwinter in a sheltered spot with lots of light. Sow again under cover from January, or direct once the frosts have passed.
The young plants can handle a light cold-spell but do protect from hard frosty temperatures. Pinch out the growing tips at 6" tall to encourage bushy growth and more flowers.
