Calendula ‘Best of Garden Mix'
For those of you who want a bit of everything- here is a mix of the best calendula we grow. Ranging from buff apricots to almost white, with a few vibrant ones thrown in for good measure. These are from a mix of fifth generation plants from our plot and have been creating some unique shades and centre combinations. Calendula are beautiful to use in design work, and great to give a relaxed summer feeling.
An easy to grow cut-flower, the more you cut calendula the more they give. A backbone of the summer garden, they're cheerful and low maintenance.
The petals are edible and brighten up any salad. Can also be turned into a salve for tired skin.

Best sown under cover in autumn to get the biggest, most productive plants. Protect from hard frosts and plant out in spring.
Dib a little hole in each cell, twice the depth of the seed, then place a seed in each and cover them with compost. They benefit from a little warmth, around 21° C.
Direct sow in spring to flower in later summer. Or sow in modules and plant out.
