Briza Maxima
Best sown directly in spring where they are to grow and flower. They have lovely nodding heads, lending movement and texture, and lending that gorgeous meadow atmosphere to summer arrangements.
They're also perfect for drying to use in Autumn Winter arrangements too. Hang to dry in a cool, dark, frost-free place in small bunches.
Sow in rows 30cm apart in soil. Germination can be slow and hit and miss- so once they've germinated and seedlings are large enough to handle, it's wise to carefully dig up a few to move elsewhere, leaving a spacing of 25cm. If sown in Autumn, they'll germinate the following Spring.
