Wreaths in the Newspaper!

The first frosts arrived at last and are so heavy they look like a light dusting of snow. We’ve moved from a mild, barely-there Autumn to a beautiful Winter in one cold swoop. It’s been a fortnight of harvesting evergreens, hot water bottles up jumpers, merry wreath making and Christmas installs. Busy. Chilly. Heaven. I love the work at this time of year; it feels simpler, happier. A time of head and hands stuck in a pine-scented wonderland.

Wreath Kits

The wreath-kits have been making their way to you, and this coming week sees the last set heading out. They’ve had a mention in the Financial Times today (thanks to Alice @norticulture), and we couldn’t be prouder. They’re fully compostable, and sustainable- all the ingredients grown, tended, and harvested by Paris and I here in West Sussex. The kits have been a real labour of love, and it’s absolutely made our season that they’re being enjoyed! Luckily there’s still time to order one if you’d like to give wreath making a go. (The cut-off will be tomorrow (Sunday) evening.)

We’ve been seeing glimpses of the creations you’ve been making from them too, and they’re turning out so gorgeous! I have yet to make a wreath for my own front door- this week I think I’ll carve out the time for that joy with plenty of inspiration from the wreaths already made.
