With floral artist, Brigitte Girling, and grower-designer, Milli Proust.

Escape for a restoratively creative day in the depths of rolling English countryside within a quintessentially English cottage garden.

cottage garden (n.)

a mixture of ornamental and edible plants, English in origin, it depends on grace and charm rather than grandeur and formal structure

If you dream of gathering armfuls of flowers to arrange from a beautiful cottage garden or a small organic, flower farm then this is the class for you! In fact here we have possibly everything you could need for the perfect day on styling with British garden grown flowers; the perfect setting, both a glorious garden and petite flower farm to explore and be inspired by plus two designers ready to show you how! Brigitte- 'one of the most outstanding florists who have emerged since the turn of the millennium', with her 'beautifully undone' designs, is coming to join me in the flower packed paradise I've been nurturing for the last three years here at the foot of the South Downs in West Sussex.

‘The farm is a tiny half acreage, nestled on the edge of an ancient Sussex woodland. It is grown completely chemical free, and nurtured with love producing a generous, and beautiful crop’

Our day will begin with a gentle stroll around the growing areas and garden before we start creating beautiful just gathered style bouquets. Brigitte and I will demonstrate, side by side, how we create our bouquets before you create your own. After a delicious al fresco lunch (weather permitting) we will demonstrate how we design and create small bowls of wild, dainty, garden style flowers for events or for the home. Again, Brigitte and I will do this side by side and afterwards you will create your own bowl which is yours to take home. The day will be relaxed and informal with an ‘ask us anything approach’.

All flowers, equipment, refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Your bouquet and bowl arrangement will be yours to take home.

Places are limited to 10.
